Week 3/19-3/23

Last week, students finished reading Fahrenheit 451. Many of the students enjoyed discussing the book and the symbolic depth that it offers, while others were just glad that it was over--you can't please everyone! One thing, whether the students liked the book or not, their analytical skills grew, which was the ultimate goal. Click below to see their novel critiques where they either convince Mrs. Cherry to read the novel or convince her to not waste her time reading the novel--some of them are pretty entertaining! Click here for a link to their #BookSnaps Padlet that discusses the symbolic title throughout each part of the novel too. I love sharing awesome work with all of you!

This week, students will work in cooperative learning groups of up to four students of their choice to collaborate in order to create a symbolic soundtrack that follows the hero's journey. The in-class project should be "fun" as students get to tie their passion for music, working with friends, and learning all together in one.
